  • Where did you grow up?

A decent argument could be made that I haven't; but my early years were spent in North Central Pennsylvania; a little town called Montoursville, near Williamsport, the Home of Little League Baseball.

  • Tell us about your family.

There's me, my wife Jill (see her info on the Kitchen Staff page), my son Joshua (hauled-off and got married and moved out), and my daughter Megan (currently spending time and a bunch of my money) in Missoula, Montana at the University of Montana; studying Psychology. Then there's Daisy Mae, a 90 pound Yellow Lab, who thinks she's a lap-dog.

  • Share something about yourself that might surprise people.

I worked my way through college at a toy train shop, manufacturing and assembling toy trains; and also worked as a Ranch-hand, in Darby, Montana (over the summers when I taught there).

  • Briefly describe your work experience.

Many years as a Special Education teacher (in New York and Montana); coached Football, Wrestling and Track in a number of those places. I spent 2 years as a Behavior Therapist in Dillon, Montana. Then seven years developing my own business as a Targeted Service Coordinator with the State of Idaho, Department of Health & Welfare. I didn't do the math to see if the number of years match-up with my age (so please don't check).

  • If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Somewhere in a sunny place; (Hawaii, Bahamas, Belize). I need to work on my tan; look at the photo, you'll understand.

  • What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Outings/travel with Jill; working out at the Gym; visiting Joshua and/or Megan; and attending various sporting events at the U of M.

  • What draws you most to this type of work?

I have a genuine desire to have a positive impact on the lives of these students; and maybe teach them something along the way.
