My wife Heidi and I have a 3 year old daughter Brenna and a 17 month old son Logan. Parenting two young kids has been very rewarding but equally tiring, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I spent 4 years out of college working seasonal positions teaching skiing, running a summer day camp for elementary students, and working construction. I started at Summit Prep in March of 2004 as a night house parent. Since that time I have been a Residential Counselor, Charge Residential Counselor, Residential Department Supervisor, and now team therapist. My experience at Summit has been a very exciting and rewarding one.
I would say Heli Skiing in Alaska. Skiing is my favorite thing to do and Heli Skiing in Alaska could be the best place to do it.
With two small children my time outside of work involves a lot of playgrounds, toys, and diapers. When I have the opportunity I like to be outside hiking, biking, hunting, and skiing to list a few of my hobbies. I'm fortunate enough to live in a place that offers amazing outdoor recreation.
Initially I was drawn to this because I like working with people. What keeps me interested is the connections that can be made with the students and being able to really see them grow and mature.
