  • Where did you grow up?

I have lived all over Montana, I was born is Lewiston and moved to Bozeman. I went to high school in Thompson Falls, MT.

  • Share something about yourself that might surprise people.

I was voted nicest kid in Sanders County……the largest county in MT.

  • Briefly describe your work experience.

I started working in the field right out of high school as a wilderness instructor at Building Bridges Wilderness Program. I transitioned to a year round wilderness instructor at Wilderness Treatment Center. I have worked on and off at Summit for the past 4 years and took a Summer off to whitewater guide in Missoula.

  • If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be?

New Zealand, I would love to experience the fly fishing there.

  • What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Skiing, mountain biking, time on the river, rock climbing and fly fishing.

  • What draws you most to this type of work?

The power of change. I watched my half-brother struggle with addiction and seeing the students change throughout wilderness and at Summit Prep can be inspiring.
