  • Where did you grow up?

    Brainerd, Mn

  • Tell us about your family.

My parents got divorced when I was 9 and then re-married each other when I was 12. They got divorced again when I was 15 and it’s been that way since. I have two amazing younger sisters who I am very close to.

  • Share something about yourself that might surprise people.

I am terrified to speak publicly but have to do it all the time.

  • Briefly describe your work experience.

I have worked 5 summers as a camp counselor at 3 different camps. I have had many different part-time jobs such as retail, music shops, and hotels. I moved out here to Montana in 2015 for a job with the Forest service which was seasonal so I worked as a ski instructor over the winter. Shortly after the mountain closed I was hired on here at Summit as a full-time RC.

  • If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be?

There are tons of places I would like to choose but the first thing that came to mind was New Zealand. I had a friend visit there when I was younger and the photos he brought back and the stories sounded amazing. And of course, The Lord of the Rings was shot there so that’s a plus.

  • What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I like to hike and fish in or around Glacier National Park. I have two dogs which require a lot of my attention but most of all I really enjoy spending time with my Fiancee. We have opposite work schedules and any time we get together is a great.

  • What draws you most to this type of work?

I went through a tough time when my parents got divorced twice when I was younger and wish that I had more support and therapy to help me through those tough times. I have always worked with youth either at camps or teaching and really enjoy it. I feel like I’m able to positively affect their lives and that makes the work that I do worth it.
