“Difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations.”
I was originally born in England where I lived for the first two years of my life. Following my second birthday, I moved to New York City with my mom where I lived until I was eighteen.
My human family is pretty small – it’s me and my mom. However, my two dogs, Oliver and Lilly, have become the greatest additions to my family yet!
I love to scuba dive. It is my favorite way to see hidden parts of the world. One of my favorite memories is from my dive in Mexico where I swam with 100+ Hammerhead Sharks!
For the past ten years I have been working to serve the adolescent population and their families. From volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster youth, to most recently providing individual and group therapeutic services as an LCSW to students in San Diego high schools, I love helping individuals overcome their challenges and strive to reach their fullest potentials.
I would absolutely love to go back to Japan. The rich cultures, delicious sushi, and kindness that fills the country’s people is something I dream of being a part of again one day.
When I am not working, you can find me outdoors with my dogs, working out, reading, traveling to somewhere I can dive, or cooking. I love being active and enjoying life’s greatest gift: nature.
What draws me most to this type of work is the resiliency and adaptability that adolescents continue to surprise me with. Life is challenging and if I’m able to make one small difference in one’s life, I know I am in the right place doing the right thing.
