Ubuntu is very difficult to render into Western language…it is to say “My humanity is caught up, is inextricably bound up, in yours.” ~ Desmond Tutu
I grew up in New Hampshire, and l lived in several places in New England before moving to Montana in 2012.
After graduating from college, I worked as a behavioral scientist studying HIV risk behavior. From there I transitioned into seasonal work, backcountry caretaking and working on trail crews in both New Hampshire and Montana. I have an unusual work history, but my combination of undergraduate study in psychology and work as a program coordinator for a volunteer trail crew make the Admissions Coordinator position at Summit a great fit!
I love to travel with specific outdoor adventures or cultural experiences in mind. I’d love to spend a week (or more!) in Pune, India, studying at the Iyengar Yoga Institute.
I teach Iyengar yoga at a local studio, and hike, ski and fly fish. I also love to garden, and find growing my own food therapeutic and liberating.
