  • Where did you grow up?

    Hollister, CA

  • Tell us about your family.

My family has always been really close. I have 2 sisters, 2 nieces, a nephew, quite a few aunts, uncles and cousins and some awesome parents. I have also been fortunate enough to know 2 sets of grandparents and one set of great grandparents.

  • Share something about yourself that might surprise people.

I once shaved my hair into a Mohawk.

  • Briefly describe your work experience.

I have worked with kids for the past 14 years in various forms. I have done tutoring, babysitting, mentoring, substitute teaching and helped run an after school program. For 3 years prior to Summit, I worked in a residential treatment facility in Minnesota.

  • If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I have always wanted to visit Egypt. I have been fascinated with the ancient Egyptian culture since college and would love to visit all of the pyramids and such.

  • What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I love being outdoors. I enjoy activities like hiking, camping, kayaking, snow shoeing and ice fishing. I also like to hang out and watch movies.

  • What draws you most to this type of work?

Not everyone can or does make significant changes to improve their lives…but when someone does, and you know you were a part of that…that is powerful.
