Summit Prepratory School Home

The typical student we consider for Summit Preparatory School is experiencing difficulties with school, family, and often peers. Generally, this is a child who has done well in the past, and whose family has watched him or her struggle more and more with life demands, despite the obvious potential for meeting these expectations.  Often, the student has had little success in individual therapy, and may display a growing uncomfortable acceptance of "failing" in academic and emotional struggles.

The intent of our admissions process is to determine whether a particular child and family is a good "fit" for the type of treatment approach we offer, and to determine what they will contribute to our therapeutic community. Often times, families find it helpful to consult with an Educational Consultant to help direct them to appropriate types of programs.

The application process involves the following four steps:

1.  Completion of the Application for Admission, which can be downloaded

below and mailed or faxed back to us along with receipt of a $150.00

       application fee.

2.  A detailed interview with our Admissions Department, either by phone or

in person during a visit to our campus.

3.  Completion of the Consent to Obtain/Release Information form.  The

purpose of this form is to list those individuals who have information

concerning your child (for example, a therapist or school counselor)

that would help Summit determine eligibility for admission, and help

assess, plan and coordinate academic and/or clinical services.

Signing this form authorizes the individuals you designate to share

information concerning your child with Summit.  Consent

forms can be obtained from the school office or downloaded by clicking

the appropriate button at the bottom of this page.

4.  Completion of detailed forms needed for billing, medical care, records

requests, and other information necessary to care the student and his/her

       family.

Summit Preparatory School is constantly striving to make our school more affordable for parents.  While it is the part of the school's long-term mission to be able to offer significant financial aid to a broad range of students, at the present we are limited in the scholarship awards that we can provide.

Presently, we offer parents the following option for accessing education loans:

Wells Fargo Education Connection K-12 Loan

The Prep Loan makes it easy for you to pay for your child's private school education, from kindergarten through high school.  You can borrow from $1,000 to $20,000 per year to finance all of your child's education-related expenses.  The contact number is

(877) 255-2431.  You may apply via the telephone or request an application.

Depending on the amount of scholarship monies available at any given time, Financial aid is provided to families that can demonstrate financial need.  Completion of a financial aid application is mandatory.  Because each family's needs are different, aids are awarded on an individual basis after an evaluation of the family's situation.  Factors considered are net income, number of dependents, and extenuating circumstances.

Summit Preparatory School has chosen FAST - Financial Aid for School Tuition powered by Independent School Management - to process our financial aid applications.  This is an online program that works in your computer's web browser.  To reach the application, click on the FAST link to the right, and follow the instructions.  If you experience difficulty, you may e-mail help@ismfast.com or call 1-877-326-FAST.
