Transformation into a successful young adult requires that the adolescent be academically prepared for the next stage in life. Certified teachers provide a challenging college preparatory level curriculum within our fully accredited high school. Services include student-centered teaching, individualized attention, small class sizes, academic accommodations (including IEP and 504 plans), college counseling, SAT/ACT prep, weekly progress reports to parents and opportunities for students to receive concurrent high school and college credit.
Emotional, social and/or psychiatric issues can interfere with an adolescent's normal development from a child into a successful young adult. Licensed, professional Masters and Doctorate-level therapists guide and support students in overcoming these personal roadblocks. Services include individualized treatment plans, individual and group therapy, team experiential activities and family therapy, coaching and support. Psychiatric consultation and medication management services are also available through our on-site licensed child and adolescent psychiatrist.
Student life is structured to create a safe and nurturing community where students grow in emotional maturity and learn the skills necessary to be successful in life. As part of this positive engaging community, students develop meaningful relationships with caring adults who provide 24-hour supervision and emotional support, formal instruction in social and life skills, and enriching activities (such as guitar, art, photography, rock climbing, swimming, fitness, soccer, video production, weight lifting, hiking, community volunteering and attendance at local cultural events).
